The Safe Guide to Choosing The Best Injector

If you’re local to Spokane and are thinking about trying Botox, Fillers, or visiting a medspa for the first time, welcome! You’re in great company. At Odara, we meet clients just like you every week: curious, maybe a little bit nervous, and wanting to feel more confident in how they look and feel.

It’s normal to have questions and to not know where to start, and you’re already taking the right steps by doing your research.

Because here’s the truth: the aesthetics world is full of opportunity — and also misinformation.

We’ve seen viral trends like “Botox Parties” or ads for “Cheap Filler Near Me”, and the reality is that your face deserves far better than a quick deal or pop-up event. You deserve safety, expertise, and results that you can love long-term.

In this blog, we’re going to walk you through our top advice so that you can focus on what matters when choosing an injector and make your first experience a great one.

Pick The Right Credentials

Let’s start with something essential: Injectables are medical procedures, not beauty services. Whether it’s your first time getting tox, filler, or a lip flip, these are treatments that require in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy and physiology. Why, you ask? There are real medical risks and complications involved. Therefore, it is crucial that the person holding the needle is a medically licensed professional — no exceptions.

No matter what procedure you’re considering, here’s a breakdown of the different types of injectors you might find —

  • Medical Doctor (MD) — A fully licensed physician with a medical degree who’s completed 4 years of medical school, 3-7 years of residency and is board certified in their specialty. In medical aesthetics, MDs can perform all medical procedures, including injectables, laser treatments, and surgery. They may also serve as medical directors or owners of medical spas.

  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) — A registered nurse with an advanced master’s or doctoral degree. They’ve completed specialized training in a specific area of medicine. They are licensed to diagnose and treat medical conditions, order tests, prescribe medications, and provide comprehensive care. In medical aesthetics, ARNPs can autonomously perform injectables, oversee aesthetic treatments, own and operate their own medical spa.

  • Physician Assistant (PA) — A licensed medical professional with an advanced degree and certification from an accredited program. PA’s can diagnose, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and assist in surgeries. Can perform injectables under agreement with a supervising physician.

  • Registered Nurse (RN) — A licensed nurse who has completed an accredited nursing program and passed the NCLEX-RN exam. RNs can perform injectables under the delegation and supervision of a licensed physician (MD/DO), ARNP, or PA. They cannot independently own or operate a Medical Spa.

At Odara, all of our injectors are licensed medical providers who have trained extensively in both the science and artistry of facial aesthetics. If you’re wondering if it’s safe to get Botox at a party — the short answer is no. These treatments are the safest in a clean, professional medical environment, performed by someone with the right training, and overseen by someone who holds the proper licensure. This is especially important when it comes to managing risks and complications if they arise.

Never Settle For Less When It Comes To Your Journey

Your first visit should feel collaborative and supportive, not transactional. A good injector takes the time to understand you, your health history, previous procedures, comfort level, and goals.

We always like to begin a new client relationship with a personalized consultation. It’s your opportunity to share your beauty journey, what brought you in, and to talk through the options that exist in the aesthetics realm that can help you reach your goals. We’ll discuss your current skin health and talk through solutions that are realistic and safe for your individual features and skin. We’ll have discussions about the procedures, what kind of results you can expect, and how you can maintain your results over time.

Pay attention to how your care team makes you feel during your first consultation and look for an injector who —

  • Listens to your goals and concerns

  • Provides honest recommendations

  • Makes you feel heard

  • Offers realistic expectations

  • Is transparent and fair in pricing

The best decision you can make is a well-informed one, which is why you should never feel rushed into treatment. In fact, it’s very common for our first-time clients to leave their consultations without having a procedure done at all that day. Most clients like to start slow and build from there — something we’re all about.

It’s about building relationships, not billing services.

Your experience shouldn’t end when you leave the treatment room; far from it. A safe, professional medspa provides clear aftercare guidance, ongoing support, and acts as a trusted point of contact as you have questions or concerns post-treatment.

And, the most beautiful results are built over time, with thoughtful planning and a shared vision between you and your injector. It’s about trust, honesty, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to natural, safe outcomes — not about selling as many syringes as possible.

There’s no substitute for qualified expertise.

Whether you’re on the hunt for your first-time Botox treatment in Spokane, natural filler results, or simply want to understand what a professional medical spa experience should be like, we hope this blog helps you feel empowered to make the best choice for yourself and your wellness.

If you’re ready to explore your options we would love to meet you. There’s no pressure to book, and we start everything out with a personalized consultation so that you can ask your questions, learn what’s possible, and decide what feels best to you.

Because when it comes to your face you deserve nothing but the best.
